EUROPEAN SAFER SCHOOLS PROJECT

September - 2008

Yildiz Technical University, Educational Sciences Guidance and Psychological Consultancy section by visiting our research assistant Zuhal ZEYBEKOĞLU School and School Contacts School Director Basic GÜLENÇ a meeting with the teacher made us Tülay PEOPLE. Program of lifelong learning in the context of COMENIUS project to create a more secure Europe school project about the given topic. Proposed by the District Education Directorate were informed within 5 school. Director of School Teachers meeting all our basic GÜLENÇ all teachers informed about the project. And we have decided to join the project.

 

28th -30th January, 2008

The headteacher Mr. Gülenç and the English teacher Mrs. Çavkaş were in Timisoara, Romania on the dates between 28th- 30th of January, 2008. They attended the meeting of project making. Meeting with the teachers coming from 11 EU countries, they discussed the problems about violence and bully acts seen at schools. Cooperating with some schools coming form Sweden, France, England and Romania, they agreed on forming a project about “Changing the School  Environment to Prevent Violence”. After a three-day’s hard work, they returned to Istanbul completing the project application form.

15th February, 2008

We sent the application form to NA- Ankara to be confirmed. If it is accepted, then we will start to work on project formally.

We got a mail  from the National Agency confirming our application . That means we can start  working on project.

The headteacher Mr. Gülenç and the project cotact person Mrs. Cavkaş went to Ankara in order to join the meeting held by N.A. Getting detailed information about “Funding”, they experienced some good samples on project processing and signed the  “Funding  Agreement” .
